The refractory steel boiler grate is a core combustion-bearing component specifically designed for boilers that burn renewable biomass fuels such as wood chips, rice husks, straw, palm shells, and biomass pellets to achieve heat energy conversion. Manufactured from high-temperature resistant alloy cast steel, it is installed at the bottom of the boiler furnace and completes the entire process of fuel bearing, ventilated combustion, and automatic slag discharge.
Different from ordinary coal-fired grates, it features specialized structural and material optimizations tailored to the characteristics of biomass fuels: high ash content, strong clinkering tendency, and high corrosion caused by alkali metals and chlorine, ensuring long service life and stable operation in harsh biomass combustion conditions.

Higher Ventilation Rate
Featuring optimized ventilation gaps (3–8 mm, anti-clinkering design) between grate bars, our refractory steel boiler grate, deliver primary combustion air uniformly to the bottom of the fuel bed, enabling staged combustion for complete fuel combustion. This reduces exhaust heat loss and pollutant emissions, with a ventilation area 20% larger than standard grates on the market.
Customization & Anti-Clinkering Performance
Backed by our professional in-house design team, we provide custom sizes and material solutions tailored to your boiler drawings and fuel types. Our proprietary anti-clinkering structure features a smooth surface and 3–5° inclined design for grate bars, combined with continuous chain drive to realize automatic slag scraping. This reduces manual de-coking frequency from 1–2 times per day to only once per week.
Superior High-Temperature Corrosion Resistance
Our grates are fabricated from high-grade high-chromium-nickel alloys, including ZG35Cr24Ni7SiN and ZG40Cr9Si2, specially formulated to resist high-temperature carbon (C) corrosion.
Enhanced Wear Resistance
The working surfaces of the grate bars are treated with as-cast thickening and quenching processes to resist fuel particle erosion and slag abrasion. Their service life reaches 2–3 times that of ordinary carbon steel grates
Main Structural Types
Chain Grate (Most Prevalent)Composed of driving sprockets, driven sprockets, transmission chains and grate bar assemblies.It features continuous operation and a stable fuel bed, and is suitable for 1–35 t/h medium and large-capacity biomass boilers.
Reciprocating Grate Adopts push-actuated motion. It features a simple structure and is easy to maintain,making it ideal for small and medium-sized biomass boilers.
Crossbeam / Lamellar Grate Provides a large ventilation area and excellent sealing performance,and is specially designed for high-power biomass utility boilers.

Our factory is equipped with two induction furnaces with a temperature control accuracy of ±0.5 ℃.We apply electromagnetic stirring, slag removal and degassing processes to ensure a material purity of 99.9%.We are also equipped with imported spectrometers and non-destructive testing (NDT) instruments. Every batch is accompanied by material spectral reports and high-temperature mechanical property reports.The full production process is traceable for each individual product.
