Reduce the smoke exhaust heat loss
1. Prevent the accumulation of slag and ash on the heating surface, increasing the thermal resistance of the heating area.
When scale and ash accumulate on the heating surface, it affects heat transfer, the patency of the smoke air system, combustion, and heat exchange. The furnace height and speed are optimized, with an ash blowing device and automatic hydraulic ash cleaning system for the biomass chain grate boiler, ensuring stable boiler operation and improved thermal efficiency.
During operation, adjust the wind force reasonably to prevent local high furnace temperatures, and position the flame front in the middle area of the high-end grate and central grate to effectively reduce slagging on the heating surface.
2. Install an appropriate economizer and air preheater to enhance boiler thermal efficiency.
An appropriate economizer is placed in the tail flue of the biomass chain furnace, such as a snake tube economizer with a larger heat transfer area, effectively reducing flue gas flow speed and absorbing flue gas temperature to improve thermal efficiency. Additionally, an air preheater is set in the pipeline after the economizer to raise the air inlet temperature of the furnace, benefiting pellet fuel ignition conditions and biomass chain furnace combustion.
3. Avoid an excessive air coefficient.
The amount of flue gas produced by chain furnace combustion mainly depends on the excess air coefficient in the furnace and the boiler's air leakage volume. Higher boiler installation and maintenance quality can reduce air leakage volume. The excess air coefficient typically used in biomass chain furnaces is 1.3-1.4. During normal combustion, excess air input should be minimized. Excessive air coefficients hinder chain furnace combustion, increase smoke exhaust, and reduce boiler efficiency.
Reduce the heat loss caused by the incomplete combustion of biomass fuels
1. Choose reasonable biomass pellet fuel. The pellet fuel with a length less than 4 times the diameter, 10% water content, 6% ash content, and a calorific value of 14.6MJ/kg can better ensure sufficient combustion to improve the thermal efficiency of the chain furnace.
2. Reasonable air distribution conditions to ensure full fuel combustion.
Reasonable distribution of air energy to reduce various combustion losses, improve the economy, and reliability of boiler operation. The biomass chain furnace can be equipped with different quantities of air bins according to different tonnages, with a reasonable allocation of air, expanding the combustion space so that the pellet fuel in the furnace has enough residence time conducive to complete combustion.
3. Combined with the actual combustion conditions of the furnace, the feeding speed and amount of the feeder should be set reasonably to ensure the combustion time. Avoid having a fuel layer that is too thick, preventing proper mixing of gas and pellet fuel, and ensuring that the heat storage capacity meets the requirements for full combustion.
