Disishing die casting has high production efficiency, low environmental pollution and low production cost, and is known as the new material processing technology in the 21st century. The grate strip is an important part on the sintering machine of metallurgical equipment. The sintering machine uses the grate strip to play a supporting role for the high temperature coke and ash after combustion. The material requires heat resistance and wear resistance, and the brand is Cr20Mn14Si2N. The outline size of the grate strip casting is 70 mm high, 40 mm wide and 800 mm long, and the quality of the casting blank is 19 kg. The casting technology requires full processing, and no casting defects are allowed on the working surface, and the production aspect requires high efficiency. It can be seen that although the structure of grate strip casting is simple, it has high requirements for production process and casting technology. Its cast structure is shown in Figure Figure 11.
It is an advanced and efficient production process. In this study, aiming at the frequent problems of slag filling and sand filling and the causes of the casting scrap, we optimize the casting process of grate strip casting on the basis of careful analysis of the original process, in order to effectively improve the casting production efficiency and reduce the production cost by optimizing the casting process.
Original process and production status
1.1 Original process parameters
The production mode of disappearing die casting is adopted, the shape of the box is used, and the break is filled with wet coating. The sand box is 2 200 mm long, 1 200 mm wide and 800 mm high. Each box of castings has 1 cluster and 12 models for each cluster. The pouring outlet process is shown in Figure 2. The pouring temperature is 1 620℃, the pouring negative pressure is-0.055 MPa, the negative pressure is-0.02 MPa, and the pressure holding time is 30 min.
1.2 Original process characteristics and the quality of the production casting
1.2.1 Original process characteristics
In the original process, there are two vents, the metal liquid is poured from one outlet, the distal end is cold, and one end of the near gate is hot. In the original process, the filling and shrinkage distance of the outlet is equal to 3 times the wall thickness of the filling and shrinkage part of the casting. Due to the poor filling and contraction effect of the distal cold outlet, the middle part of the casting is beyond the filling and shrinkage distance, so the filling and contraction process is unreasonable.
The size of sand box is relatively large and can accommodate more castings. However, it is unreasonable to produce 12 pieces of model cluster box and only bury one layer of buried box. There is no effective use of sand box space, and the production efficiency is too low.
1.2.2 Casting quality
1) Defects of slag filling and sand filling
Castings are fully processed castings with high requirements for casting quality. However, due to the use of the box group type, the strength of the parts filled with wet paint is not enough, and the adhesion is not strong, which belongs to the fragile parts prone to problems. During pouring, these bonding parts will be washed away by high temperature metal liquid, resulting in slag filling and sand filling defects of the casting. In addition, in the casting process formulation, the actual work of the casting in the casting position is not considered, but the working face of the casting is not allowed to have defects, resulting in the scrap of the casting due to slag filling and sand filling. The defect diagram of slag sandwich and sand sandwich after full processing is shown in Figure 3.
2) The stomata
Pleated pores appear on the surface of the casting, and according to the defect shape, the water vapor produced by the coating leads to the pores. This is due to the production process, the workers in the paint drying and inspection link.
