Sodium Silicate Precision Casting

Sodium silicate precision casting is a cost-effective investment casting process, well-suited for small steel castings with a certain degree of complexity. Its core advantage lies in excellent cost control, as the sodium silicate binder used is significantly less expensive than other types. This enables the process to offer high cost-effectiveness for customers during large-volume production.

In the precision manufacturing of small steel castings, it consistently ensures dimensional accuracy and surface finish superior to conventional casting methods, sufficient to meet the requirements of many structural components. Consequently, it becomes an ideal choice for producing carbon steel and alloy steel parts in fields such as engineering machinery and conveying equipment.

Silica Sol Precision Casting

Silica sol precision casting represents a higher-tier process, specifically designed for pursuing the ultimate quality in the precision manufacturing of small steel castings. The supporting evidence is its ability to produce castings with exceptionally high dimensional accuracy and superior surface quality. This is because the silica sol binder can form a more refined and higher-strength ceramic shell, resulting in castings with sharp contours and minimal surface defects. This technology is crucial for complex thin-walled parts made from materials like stainless steel and heat-resistant steel, as it significantly reduces the need for subsequent machining.

Therefore, it is widely used in demanding fields such as aerospace and high-end hydraulic valves, where performance and appearance are critical.

Resin-Coated Sand Shell Molding Casting

Resin-coated sand shell molding casting strikes an optimal balance between process flexibility and production efficiency, making it particularly suitable for small to medium-sized steel castings with relatively simple geometries. Its process advantages include fast shell molding speed, good mold adaptability, and the capability to produce castings within a relatively wide size range. By using sand pre-coated with phenolic resin, a hollow sand shell with uniform thickness and high strength can be rapidly formed in heated molds.

This allows it, in the precision manufacturing of small steel castings, to ensure accuracy higher than sand casting while achieving an annual production capacity of up to 3,000 tons, effectively supporting the high demand for durable structural components in sectors like coal mining machinery and metallurgical equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there relevant industry certifications?

-

We are certified under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, and our processes and material testing comply with multiple international standards (e.g., ASTM, DIN). Specific certifications can be provided upon request.

What dimensional accuracy and tolerance standards can you achieve?

-

This depends on the selected process. Silica sol precision casting can achieve linear tolerances of CT4-6, while sodium silicate precision casting reaches CT6-8. Our engineers will evaluate and confirm achievable tolerances upon reviewing your drawings.

What are the minimum wall thickness and maximum weight limits for castings?

-

For precision castings, the minimum wall thickness can be as thin as 0.8mm, with a maximum single piece weight of approximately 50kg. Resin-coated sand castings offer a wider dimensional range. Please share your specific design for a feasibility analysis.

What costs are included in the quotation?

-

Our quotations typically cover mold costs, per-unit casting costs, routine non-destructive testing (e.g., dimensional inspection), and basic packaging. Additional services such as heat treatment, machining, specialized testing, and transportation are quoted separately.

How do you ensure consistent and stable casting quality?

-

We implement strict process control cards and SOPs at every stage, from raw material inspection to mold shell creation, melting, and pouring. Each batch of molten steel undergoes spectral analysis to ensure chemical composition compliance.
