What is Bimetallic Composite Bipolar Plate?
The core function of Bimetallic Composite Bipes is to combine an outer layer of carbon steel or common seamless steel pipe with an inner layer of high-chromium cast iron (such as KmTBCr26) through a composite structure, which takes into account wear resistance, corrosion resistance and economy. It has structural strength and anti-wear performance, and is mainly used in harsh working conditions in industrial fields. The centrifugal casting process is adopted to achieve metallurgical bonding of the two metals, with a shear strength higher than that of the base metal, ensuring complementarity between the base layer and the wear-resistant layer. The wear-resistant layer is formed by overlay welding technology (such as chromium carbide alloy), creating a high-hardness layer with good surface formation and anti-detachment properties. The inner layer has a hardness of over HRC50 and contains more than 40% M7C3 type carbides, with a lifespan 5 to 10 times that of ordinary steel pipes. The metallurgical bonding layer matches the coefficient of thermal expansion (13.5-15×10⁻⁶/℃), capable of withstanding extreme temperature differences from -40℃ to 800℃. It reduces maintenance frequency, supports on-site cutting and welding, and costs 55% less than ceramic pipes in high-wear working conditions.
Our factory covers an area of 13,000 square meters (140,000 square feet) and is capable of efficient large-scale production and logistics. With process improvements based on over 20 years of order experience, we utilize professional testing equipment and an 80-person team to maintain strict product dimensional tolerances. Pre-sale design optimization and dedicated after-sales service channels can shorten the delivery time of urgent orders by 15-30%. Through this series of inspections, the quality of our Bimetallic Composite Bipe products is reliably guaranteed before being delivered to customers.

Superior Wear Resistance
Our Bimetallic Composite Pipe features a premium high-chromium cast iron inner layer with a hardness exceeding HRC 50 and containing over 40% primary M₇C₃-type carbides. This delivers a service life 5-10 times longer than conventional steel pipes. Utilizing centrifugal casting technology, it achieves metallurgical bonding between the two metals, with interfacial shear strength surpassing that of the base metals – ensuring optimal synergy between the backing layer and wear-resistant liner.
Impact & Thermal Shock Resistance
The metallurgically bonded layer features matched thermal expansion coefficients (13.5–15×10⁻⁶/℃), enabling tolerance of extreme temperature differentials from -40°C to 800°C without deformation. This significantly reduces replacement frequency, cutting production costs and downtime for component changes.
